I Was Blind, but Now I See

This is the testimony of the man born blind. The story of his healing and coming to faith is found in John 9. Sermonic material abounds in this rich story. A starting point is to talk about the nature of sin (broken relationship with God) and the nature of the work that Jesus came to do (establish right relationship with God). Jesus as the “light of the world” exposes our sin and establishes us in relationship as God’s children. We give testimony as to our experience (I was blind but now I see). We do not have all the answers to the mysteries of the universe, simply the willingness to tell what we have heard and seen.
